Redevelopment and renovation of the E4C factory by FFM

Description

E4C, a company specializing in packaging, has undertaken a vast redevelopment and renovation project for its factory in order to optimize its operations and improve the efficiency of its production line. Faced with the challenges posed by the existing space, notably the need to facilitate the passage of carts through the factory while maintaining the structural integrity of the building, E4C called on the expertise of Fer Forgé Montréal to design a solution on measure.

Client Goals

  • Improve internal factory logistics by facilitating the movement of carts, essential for the transport of finished products.
  • Make necessary modifications without compromising the safety or structure of the building.
  • Minimize the impact of renovation work on daily production.

Work carried out by Fer Forgé Montréal
To meet these specific needs, an ingenious solution was put forward and FFM carried out the following work:

Moving a brace
The main intervention consisted of moving a structural bracing of the factory. This modification was designed to open a passageway wide enough for the movement of carts, while ensuring that the stability and safety of the building structure is preserved.

The expertise of Fer Forgé Montréal was crucial in taking into consideration the implications of this move and in implementing the solution in a way that did not compromise any aspect of the existing structure.
